The objective was to simplify, expedite, and automate the process of recording product with problems, as well as facilitate subsequent monitoring and statistical analysis. Prior to this project, recording and bookkeeping were done manually on paper, with data later entered into an Excel spreadsheet by hand at the end of each day. The final product had to be waterproof, as the facilities were cleaned daily with a pressure washer. Consequently, a mouse could not be connected to the panel, and all functions had to be implemented through the panel.

This solution has been in operation at the factory for several years now, with the number of panels increased to four.
